Where to stay?
Where you are going to stay is very important, especially in New York considering how big New York is and how long it can take to go from one place to another.
My favorite and most affordable hotel to stay in New York is the double tree by Hilton New York:
For this accommodation you can count around 160 usd per night depending on when you are going.

Now moving onto activities, New York is full of thing to do, you will never be bored. It can get really expensive so I have included both free and paid activities. Keep in mind there is so much to do I could not include everything.
1) The most touristic activity in New York is the hop onf hop off, I am usually not a big fan of seeing the city with a bus however New York is so big , it is definitely a great way to see the city especially if you are staying for a short amount of time or if you are not the biggest fan of walking. The hop on hop off brings you to the most iconic sports of New York wit the bus making stops to all popular spots every 15 minutes so you never have to wait for the bus . You can take a one , two or a week pass. The day pass starts at 55usd per day on Viator.

2) Walk on Brooklyn bridge. This is an obvious one but I wanted to include it. If you are planning to walk on the bridge I would definitely recommend going for sunrise because it gets very busy.
3)Helicopter ride. This one is a must do to me, it can be very pricey but it really is once in a lifetime experience. The price starts from around 230usd per person.

4)Have a wonder around Time square. Time square offers so much to do on its own, there are so many shops, food and shows around. It is a great opportunity to buy some souvenirs. However keep in mind souvenirs can be very expensive there, the cheapest place to find souvenir will be on Brooklyn bridge where you will see little stands.
5)Another great way to see New York from above is from the top of a tall building. The edge is a 100th stories high observation desk which offers a 360 degres view from New York. The price is around $40usd per person.
6)Walk around central park which is obviously free of charge, however keep in mind central park is almost as big as Manhattan so it will take a while to get around. A great place to see is the turtle pod which is a great way to see little turtles.
7) Last place I would recommend is Summit One. It is another observation desk but with a bit of a twist ad every thing is covered with mirrors which gives it a really cool effect. The price is 45usd per person.
