My 4 days Rome itinerary

pointjane

Welcome to my 4 days Rome itinerary. Personally 4 days was plenty of time for me to explore Rome but if you are more a slow traveler you can always split the activities into different days!

Accomodation: Terrazze Navona. I personally stayed at Terraze Navona and loved it. It is such a quiet little hotel and was quiet reasonable prices compare to other hotels in Rome. I paid 175usd dollar per night. The hotel is very well located, very close to Piazza Novana where you can find plenty of things to do and eat.

Day 1:

On day 1 we are are going to visit the Colosseum, the roman forum and the Palatine hills. All these monuments are located in the same area and will probably take you about a day to see them all. Keep in mind if you want to be able to get in the Colosseum you need to book in advance or you are looking at hours of waiting in line and you might not even end up being able in! I also highly recommend getting the skip the line tickets, the time you save is definitely worth the price.

After a long day of visiting you are going to visit the best pasta restaurant in Rome, osteria da Fortunata. This restaurant is amazing , probably the best pasta I have ever had. The pasta are made fresh in front of you. For a dish you are looking at about 18 euros. I would recommend getting there early to avoid lines.

Day 2:

On day 2 you are going to go to the Vatican. To go to the vatican you MUST book in advance and get skip the lines tickets otherwise you are looking to wait for about 5 to 6 hours!!! The vatican is most likely going to keep you busy but if not I recommend just exploring the city with an Hop on Hop off bus. For dinner I recommend going to II Gabriello, it is said to be the best restaurant in Rome.

Day 3:

On Day 3 you are going to see the Trevi Fountain. If you want to take photos and do not want anyone in them you will need to get there as the sun rises and there will still be quiet a few people around. After the fountain you are going to head to Piazza Novana.

Piazza novana is a public open space and it is by far one of the most beautiful squares in Rome. There are plenty of shops and restaurant around where you can grab lunch. I also highly recommend getting ice cream. If you see an ice cream shop with a line that is where you need to get your ice cream! Other places have no line for a reason trust me. You can then enjoy the rest of your afternoon visiting souvenir shops and trying some local food.

Day 4:

On your last day you are going to visit the Pantheon, you can also have a visit inside if you are interested by its history. You are then going to visit St Peter Basilica and you will finish of your day by doing a Italian cooking class where you will learn to make fresh pasta and of course enjoy them afterwards.

This is the end of my itinerary, hope you guys enjoyed it! Have a safe trip xx
